Ten days in New York City! Here are the highlights:

Celebrating Allan's 83rd birthday with his law partner for over fifty years, Shearn Platt & his wife Linda at a delicious Jewish restaurant, Kutsher's. Now, you may wonder what exactly is Jewish food, well all I know is the roasted chicken was the best I've ever had!Adventures in New York

And of course, even though I lived in Manhattan for a few years I will always be a tourist!  This was taken with my dear friend, Candace Corlett on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum where we saw the Schiaparelli & Prada exhibit, these two cutting-edge Italian women fashion designers have created amazing clothing we're never likely to actually see anyone wearing; hats that look like black high heels and jackets adorned with plastic insects!

Summer has certainly arrived in the Big Apple along with summer showers that bring the flowers... in this picture is an example of another outfit you're not likely to ever see anyone wearing. But I did see lots of white on white and neon.

It's true you can find everything in New York, including Monet's Gardens, yes the original is still outside of Paris in Giverny, but the replica we saw at the Botanical Gardens on a beautiful summer day was truly breathtaking. Check out these orchids from outer space!

Of course, not all the art was in the museums or gardens, we saw this motorcycle with what's his name airbrushed in beautiful detail, including a plastic gun in his hand, can you see it? One unique features is the variety of theater entertainment. Last year we sawWar Horse and thought nothing could beat it, well this year we saw: Voca, Other Desert Cities, Tribes and End of the Rainbow. I'd love to tell you about all of them because they were all awesome! But since the British leading actor, Tracie Bennett has been nominated for the Tony Awards best actress, well... she sounded just exactly like Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow! And movies, don't miss Intouchables.

Oh yes, oh yes, I did shop! Here's a bit of a preview of some of the jewelry I'll be bringing back to the shop: More rose cut diamonds! This bangle is already sold, but I can get more, just call me! These one of a kind gold tone earrings will go fast!

And I didn't forget the fun pieces!
