Gemstone and Ancient Tapestry Necklace

This is the second piece I bought from the artist in Izmer, Turkey. Her skill at the fine detail is remarkable. No two pieces are ever the same and it takes her over a week of long days to hand-sew every element. This is the cooler tone one with gold and pastel colors. Some of the gemstones included in this piece are: mother of pearl, carnelian, turquoise, AB crystals, gold beads and tiny 22k gold plated icons. This will be a piece you will pass down to generations. A lost art of handmade jewelry. Just try to make a stitch this small!
