Twenty years ago, founder Dolores Forsythe, after retiring from her consulting business, traveled with her husband to many foreign countries. During a trip to Vietnam, Dolores was moved by the plight of the Vietnamese women and wanted to help. After lengthy discussions with the Director of the Vietnamese Women’s Union she offered to help in two ways. One by bringing their beautiful pearl jewelry to the U.S. market and secondly by contributing to a micro loan program which would help women become more self-reliant in starting their own businesses.

Since that time Dolores has traveled to many other countries to find small cottage industries run by women who specialize in their communities own style of jewelry. The collection in her shop now includes many one of a kind pieces from Slovenia, Cambodia, Laos, Turkey, Bali, India,Thailand, England, and Nepal. 

Dolores continues to contribute a portion of all sales to help women and children in need.

After opening her shop Dolores became aware that she was unable to source some of the specific requests from her customers. After extensive jewelry design training she began designing her own unique gemstone jewelry which is ever evolving to meet the current fashion trends.
